Coming at the start of an incredibly busy week, it’s IL-2: Great Battles Series with patch 4.009 bringing a series of new features to the series including new pilot models, new 4K skins, the new and free summer Velikiye Luki map, and more. Let’s have a look at some highlights!

From Night Witches to 4K skins

Patch 4.009 packs in a bunch of exciting new features to the series including 78 total points of updates covering everything from the early war eastern front content to Tank Crew. Here are some of the key highlights:

• New Velikiye Luki summer 1942 map added and winter map improved
• New single missions for Battle of Bodenplatte and Tank Crew (each aircraft has one mission devoted to it)
• 4K skins for the P-40E
• U-2VS, Yak-1 and Yak-1B have new female pilot models
• Hell Hawks over the Bulge campaign released
• Numerous AI updates
• Tanks now have detailed in-game descriptions of equipment, functionality, and input commands
