Trailer and sale!
No DCS Sale goes off without a quick trailer and so here’s one featuring what looks like some alternate takes on the DCS World 2021 and Beyond Trailer (including a reverse of that Mi-24/Su-34 scene).
As with the previously announced sale, many modules are 50% off and more and with the free to play period now underway, you can try any module before buying as well. Not a bad deal.

Ya gotta love how in tune DCS is with the customer base. Frickin’ pandemic holiday season, lots of at-home time, can’t socialize, but then DCS gives us a twenty free toys to play with for two-weeks.
They get a ton of customer loyalty from me for this.

I’m tempted by the F-16, but I think it will still be $80 on sale. And since I already have the F-18, the F-16 is a bit of the same, if you know what I mean. The Spitfire is one I want to try again, didn’t enjoy it last time, but I want to give it another shot.

Seeing as you can try it out for free these next two weeks, I’d give it a shot and see what you think. Yes it’s similar to the Hornet at the base level but it’s quite the hot rod and it feels quite different to fly, fight, land, etc.!

Having the opportunity to try out different modules before you decide which one you like is great. It is one thing to read the specs (or watch a YT video) and another one to try it out personally.
If only comparing specs I’d never would have picked the Mirage, yet it is one of my favorites just because of the way it handles and it’s speed and the minimalistic design…

Would really like to give ED a few bucks (especially after the 2021 video that was, well, encouraging, to say the least), but I have nothing left to buy, except of a couple German warbirds and Christen Eagle (all of which are 100% useless to me).
Think ED should adopt the common game industry practice by releasing a brand-new module right before the Holidays 🙂
