More visual details of the RAZBAM DCS: F-15E revealed

RAZBAM CEO Ron Zambrano posted a short video clip showing the work in progress DCS: F-15E Strike Eagle project with some new visual details of the jet. Let’s have a quick look!

Inside and out

Advertising the visual quality done by artist Tim Taylor, Ron Zambrano from RAZBAM was on Twitter yesterday with a short clip of what the visual model of the F-15E. The clip shows the impressive visual detailing including the texture work and 3D modeling for the jet on the outside as well as brief glimpses of what it looks like inside as well. Have a look!

The ‘when’ question

Of course, anytime we see new details of the F-15E the question invariably turns to “when?” In this case I think it’s wise to wait this one out for a while yet. We’ve seen many visual updates through the year on the F-15E and a few screenshots have revealed at least some working avionics, however, this is a complex jet and one that will take some time to build up to even a basic level.

RAZBAM’s comments in 2019 I think had everyone, myself included, expecting a more advanced timeline but it’s clear that this one will take some more time. That’s ok, RAZBAM have been accused of rushing things before, and the F-15E is a jet that they will need to get right out of the gate or invite some of the same criticism leveled at them in the past.

However long it takes, Ron’s latest update on the F-15E shows impressive visual detailing which says to me that RAZBAM have looked around at what the other DCS World jets are looking like and they have risen to challenge to ensure that their F-15E is just as exceptional. Let’s give this one some time!

Looks good! Day one purchase for sure. A great big fat mud mover. And it will be interesting to see Razbam’s version of Jester.

Pretty sure that so far their official stance was that no AI copilot is planned atm because: “It’s not actually needed to fully operate the plane’s systems”
