Just Flight reports 146 Professional in final stages of development

Just Flight’s internal development team is putting the finishing touches on the long awaited 146 Professional for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Here’s the latest.

On final approach

Just Flight has dropped two new development updates over the last several days. The latest update is a quick one indicating that their development has reached the final stages. A pre-release build is reportedly being put through testing to identify issues and prepare for release.

Just Flight already has a 146 Professional for X-Plane 11 and for P3D but they are doing some MSFS specific things as well. There’s full support for the MSFS interactive checklist, new EFB features, cargo variant, new liveries, 8K textures for the cockpit, and more. Just Flight have also recently put out a PDF showcasing the details of the product in more detail including some MSFS specifics that are tied to the power of the newer sim. Check that PDF out right here.

Check out the latest on the Just Flight developer diary blog. And look for this detailed airliner simulation to come to MSFS relatively soon.

Starting the flood of airliners

Although it’s taken about a year and a half, the 146 Professional is just one of several detailed airliners that are about to come to MSFS. To date we’ve seen aircraft like the PMDG DC-6, Aerosoft’s CRJ, and of course the free FBW A32NX but now we have Just Flight’s BAe 146 as well as Fenix’s A320, and PMDG’s 737-700. There are even more coming down the pipe with the 757 from Just Flight and the A300 series from iniSimulations just to name some of the airliners that I know about.

From famine to feast, Microsoft Flight Simulator looks set to collect a series of what appear to be very detailed simulations of airliners. It’s been a long time in coming but Just Flight’s 146 Professional looks to be kick starting that process together with PMDG’s new 737.

Ironically, the dark horse MD-80 by Leonardo looks to be the first “Study Level” airliner that’s gonna be released. Judging by it’s reputation in P3D, it should be a fantastic experience in FS2020.

PMDG have said they’re basically waiting for Sim Update 9 to release before launching, and hopefully Just Flight is at the same place.

Either way, it’s just a couple weeks before we can have our cake and eat it, too!

Well, looks like Just Flight beat Leonardo to the punch – 146 released today, and MD-80 is scheduled for tomorrow.

    Happy Days!

I picked it up last night. Only had time for a quick controls bind and a few ad-hoc trips around the pattern.

Very nice so far, and that big honkin’ air brake certainly does it’s job!
