Microsoft’s return to the Flight Simulator experience has garnered a lot of attention thanks to a splashy introduction video, some breathtaking visuals, and regular community updates for insiders and the public. If you want a closer look at the new sim, now might be your chance as sign-ups to test it are underway.

Sign-me up?

This Tech Alpha sign-up will be an early look at the sim though it is certain to be of limited nature in some way and will provide only a taste of what is to come. Nonetheless, a chance to look into this product is exciting even at this stage.

You’ll need to use a Microsoft account to complete the sign-up and Microsoft reminds everyone to ensure that you completely fill out the survey (including submitting a DXDiag – presumably so they can assess computer equipment levels) prior to submitting.

More information on the alpha and on their upcoming Feature Discovery Series will be released later this month on the 19th and 26th respectively.

If you’re interested, head to the Flight Simulator website, go to the Insider area, and click the Tech Alpha sign-up page to start the survey.

  1. Looks interesting. Was telling my SO about how one could visit areas virtually with FSX and X-Plane 11, and am curious to see how the new MS Flight Sim is handling things.

How is your circumnavigation going? Feels like it’s been a bit since the last update.

    1. Yeah I need to do an update on that. My world tour is struggling a bit because of time and other commitments. Also some challenges with X-Plane 11.

      Definitely worth writing about soon!
