A much anticipated feature for the DCS: F/A-18C is supposedly coming later this month according to a mini-update by Eagle Dynamics’ Matt Wagner in a new mini-update.

TWS plus remaining items

Track While Scan mode for the DCS: F/A-18C has been in development for a while and now that the DCS: F-16C has it, progress appears to have been rapid as the team switches gears with more efforts being put back onto the DCS: F/A-18C.

TWS gives the Hornet the ability to track and engage multiple targets at once as well as maintain greater situational awareness during an engagement with hostile aircraft where more than one bandit is within the radar’s range.

Naturally, this is a feature that Hornet drivers have wanted to see come to the aircraft for a while. This is the latest that we’ve heard from Matt Wagner.

Hi everyone,

A little update on TWS for the Hornet… Progress has been very fast with the remaining items just being:

1- L&S HUD steering
2- Expand (EXP) sub-mode
3- SCAN RAID sub-mode

Other than that, it is functionally complete, and certainly on track for later this month.

Thanks

Matt Wagner on the DCS World Forums

That certainly sounds promising and I look forward to the feature update later this month.
