When it comes to aircraft tutorials and resources, I almost always turn to the relevant Chuck’s Guide to look up and figure out what I need to know. If you’re a fan of the Mirage F1 by Aerges, you’ll be happy to know that the guide is now here.

Staying studied up

At 570+ pages, the latest guide is comprehensive and covers a wide variety of operations with the Mirage jet fighter.

This module has become a favourite of some in the Cold War servers and Aerges, the developer, is still working on releasing two additional variants including the two seat BE and modernized M model.

Extra pages will probably be needed when those extra versions arrive.

If you want the guide you can access it here on Chuck’s website.

  1. I didn’t get this plane. Waiting for the free trial. My brain cells are fried with the planes I already have. But ya gotta love Chuck’s guides.

  2. I love the F1!

Back in the day, I followed conventional wisdom and bought the F-5 as my first Full Fidelity module in DCS. While it’s a good module, the IRL variant is quite unsophisticated and rather limited. I.e., it gets boring quickly…

The F1, on the other hand, is rather a Goldilocks module – totally Analog instrumentation, no Fly By Wire, yet has all the bells and whistles of a “proper” late-3rd Gen fighter.

It’s safe to say I wish the F1 had been available back then to be my first DCS module – a far more fulfilling aircraft.

And with Aerges nee AvioDev behind it, it’s been constantly upgraded since release (with more modern variants in the pipeline)! 🙂
