The X-Plane 12 aircraft list has gotten just a bit bigger with the re-release of the Thranda DHC-2 Beaver for X-Plane 12. The aircraft has some new features for the new sim and comes with an upgrade discount. Here’s what we know.

Upgraded for 12

Thranda’s DHC-2 Beaver has been updated for X-Plane 12 and it comes with a variety of new features. There are new 8K textures and full support for Thranda’s dynamic generation series letting you create and tweak your own liveries in-sim (and on the fly) as well as a configurable cockpit with instruments being moved around in the cockpit itself as desired – or configured in 2D or by numerical entry for precise positioning.

The aircraft also boasts features familiar from X-Plane 11 including regular tire, tundra, skis floats and amphibious floats. There’s also a detailed flight model and advanced FMOD sound system using procedural engine sounds.

According to the announcement, the upgrade price knocks 30% off the price. For everyone else, the airplane is $39.95 USD as purchased through the X-Plane.org Store.
