Added just today to the DCS World User Files Download section is a completely revised and updated version of Don Rudi’s Mirage F1 Fighter Weapons School training campaign. Here’s what you need to know.

Train on the Mirage F1

If you’re training up on the Mirage F1 and you want to be as proficient as possible in the jet, the Mirage F1 Fighter Weapons School training campaign might be something that you’ll want to add to your arsenal.

This is a 23 mission training campaign that will have you learn and practice every aspect of weapons delivery in the Mirage F1. That includes navigation with TACAN offsets and INS waypoints as well as low-level bombing, toss bombing, and pop-up attacks. Included are 12 air to ground missions, 6 air to air missions, 3 aerial refueling tasks and 2 navigational exercises.

The campaign makes use of the Aerges DCS: Mirage F1 (obviously) and the DCS: Syria map and the reworked version restructures the campaign into basic, advanced exam and graduation segments. It also corrects all sight depression values, replaces the F1CE with the two-seat F1BE for the basic phase, and includes the F1EE for the advanced and graduation phase. There’s use of new weapons and an updated manual for the whole thing that brings the page count to 40.

The original reportedly had 1700 downloads and I can see the new one surpassing that as the Mirage F1 has become quite popular in online arenas.

Download the campaign for free here.

  1. As someone who owns, but is not proficient in this module this is interesting to me. Is each mission cold start or air start? Is there any voice acting?

    1. I’m not sure on the start up and I don’t think there’s voice acting (nothing is mentioned) but I would definitely check it out once you’re past the initial startup phase. It sounds like this is what you should check out when you want to fight the jet rather than just fly it.

    2. You can always use the shortcut to auto-start the aircraft if cold-starts aren’t your thing…
