Microsoft Flight Simulator has two new items in the marketplace today. Famous Flyer 08: The Cessna T207A Turbo Stationair and City Update V: European Cities I are now both available for download and purchase in the case of the Stationair. Let’s have a look at the details!

Five new city updates

If you like to fly over urban landscapes, the MSFS City Update Series has been a great thing to experience as they have updated cities around the world with photogrammetry technology. The latest to be updated are The Hague (Netherlands), Brussels (Belgium), Košice (Slovakia), Zagreb (Croatia), and Cádiz (Spain).

All five have been produced in what they are calling their highest visual fidelity using geographic and TIN (triangulated irregular network) surface modeling. Its not a perfect technology but it does give a sense of photo realism to many places where its been used. Like all City Updates, this one is a free download from the Marketplace.

Turbo Stationair

Another Carenado partnership has given us the T207A Turbo Stationair. This eight seater Cessna is more of an SUV style of airplane versus some of the more sedan-like Cessna versions that we have available in the sim. With short field and bush flying capabilities, this aircraft has been used in the backcountry, as an air taxi, skydiving platform and more.
