The ongoing saga of flight sim hardware maker Honeycomb continues with new updates from Honeycomb as well as from Aerosoft, one of the bigger storefronts for Honeycomb products, with news on what customers can expect and how things are progressing.
An update from Friday
The original post from Honeycomb detailing the situation was posted on Friday talking about a business deal that did not go well and challenges making sure that the factory producing the parts was being paid for their work. You can read about that here.
A new update, posted within the last couple of hours on the Honeycomb Facebook page, reports on the latest including a thank you to everyone showing them support. The core part of the message is focused on customers and what they can expect with some encouraging news sprinkled throughout.
Since the original post on Friday, I have found a solution to replace all the faulty products and once I have all the details sorted out (should only be a couple of days), then I will post the details here, and the tech support team will send out an email to all who are awaiting a replacement product.

That’s certainly a good sign for folks who have broken products that need fixes or replacements. Meanwhile there’s still work going on to try and find a solution surrounding the Charlie Rudder Pedals.
With regards to the Charlie Rudder Pedals, then I’m still working on a solution to get them manufactured. If you have canceled your order, but have not received a refund, then we will still deliver you a Charlie unless you don’t want us to. We will contact you directly, once the schedule is confirmed.

It does sound like the impasse on them is being solved and that they should be able to fulfill orders. The other bit of good news is surrounding other storefronts where orders appear to be in good shape.
If you have pre-ordered from one of our partners like Aerosoft or others, then your order is safe and so is your money. They are all still committed to shipping you the product.

That all does sound like encouraging messaging from Nicki the founder of Honeycomb. These are tactical issues that they need to deal with as quickly as possible and the moving of inventory is definitely a good sign. The bigger problems down the road, however, I’m sure still loom large.
Aerosoft issues a statement
A statement came out today from Aerosoft on the Honeycomb situation. The statement says that the company was surprised by what had happened and had no foreknowledge of the problems that were being experienced.
Critically, the company reports that they have sufficient stock to fulfill all incoming orders immediately.
We would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that sales and support for Alpha Flight Controls, Alpha Flight Controls XPC and Bravo Throttle Quadrant are assured by Aerosoft and will continue without restriction. We have sufficient stock and can fulfil all incoming orders immediately.

Again, some good news for customers right now who aren’t sure what to do with the current situation underway.
Aerosoft are also offering a 38-39% off sale on Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo units through their store. The deal is on until January 31st so you’ll need to act fast if you want to save some money on one of the units.
