A message from Eagle Dynamics reports that their Lunar Sale, currently ongoing on Steam and on their e-Shop, will be extended for e-Shop buyers. Here’s the key details.

The recent server and database outage for DCS World was fully restored within 36 hours, however, as Eagle Dynamics reports they know that the outage likely impacted people trying to make sale purchases so the sale has been extended.

As you may already be aware, we suffered a database service failure this week that prevented you from accessing the website store and from joining multiplayer servers. The root cause was a hardware failure on one of the servers belonging to our European service provider. Despite this event being resolved within 36 hours we know that it caused quite some inconvenience during the sale, and we apologise sincerely. To give everyone extra time, we have decided to extend the 2024 Lunar Sale by one week on our eShop to 25 February 2024.

Though the circumstances for the sale extension are unusual for DCS World, the extension itself is not all that unusual as they will sometimes extend it even when things are running smoothly. Steam store buyers can still take advantage of the sale until the 18th while e-Shop purchasers can take advantage of sale prices through to February 25th as quoted.

Sale prices range from 30-50% off on popular modules including most Eagle Dynamics modules while a few developers have opted out on this one.
