Can a freeware developer match up against the best payware developers? FlyByWire were already well on their way to answering that question with their A32nx project, however, their A380x is something else as the developer builds their own super-jumbo jet from the ground up. A new video released today gives us an in-depth look at the aircraft. Let’s have a look!

Start-up, takeoff, systems and more!

The video released by freeware aircraft developer FlyByWire for their A380x goes in-depth in a way that we haven’t seen previously for the project. Although cinematic in nature, it’s also a look at the aircraft’s start-up, systems, sounds and visuals.

It’s a very impressive overall view of the A380x project and shows so many systems and features already functioning that it makes me wonder if 2024 will be the year that FBW begin to make this project available to the public. If so, this could be the year of the widebody airliner for MSFS with PMDG’s 777, iniBuilds A350, and this project.
