A reasonably substantial update to AzurPoly’s C-160 Transall transport aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator is on its way out the door right now with some nice fixes as well as a few feature additions such as the addition of a weather radar. Let’s have a look!
Improved performance, features

Version 1.4.0 is on its way for AzurPoly’s C-160 Transall. This excellent transport aircraft is a very interesting addition to Microsoft Flight Simulator and was a bit of a surprise hit to me when I reviewed it several months ago and I’m very pleased to hear that the developers aren’t done with adding to this airplane.
The biggest highlight is the addition of a functional weather radar. They report that while the radar doesn’t do everything they want it to for accuracy sake, they also agree that it’s better than an empty screen. I wholeheartedly agree with this stance that something is far better than nothing.
Navigraph are adding a SimBrief profile for the Transall as well which should greatly aid in flight planning. Great to see!
Other updates include a new interior level of detail (LOD) that is intended to help improve performance.
Here’s the rest of the change log:
– Implemented functional weather radar
– Added interior LOD model for better performance
– Added possibility to select no active source on EHSI
– Improved ILS glideslope capture by autopilot
– Fixed cockpit interactions (knobs, switches) with wrong orientation
– Fixed propeller feathering on ground
– Fixed autopilot V/S mode in EFB
– Improved flight path vector on HUD
– Adapt units in EFB depending on user options
– Small improvements to FMS flight plan pages
– Fixed display issue with transponder code starting with zero
– Fixed EHSI displayed with no electricity
– Fixed fuel shutoff handles orientation
– Improved master caution sound
– Fixed wrong engine de-ice tooltip
– Fixed incorrect runway length unit in FMS
Release is expected today on the Marketplace and on other storefronts. Look for that!
