Back nearer the beginning of the year I learned about Emerald Scenery Design and their collection of both free and payware scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator. I love these small, out of the way, airport scenery packs and so I’m pretty excited to see that another one has just arrived onto the scene. Let’s have a look at the announcement!
67FL Bald Eagle Airfield plus a bit more

Emerald Scenery Design’s latest airport release is Bald Eagle Airfield- Myakka Head (67FL). The airport is located south of Tampa in Florida and, like prior Emerald Scenery Design releases, focuses in not on a large hub but a small back country airport.
Features include colour matched 15cm/px aerial imagery, 1m/px resolution elevation mesh, PBR materials on all of the buildings, and dynamically moving hangar doors and gates. There is also a custom set of vegetation, Cicada sounds between May and July (but not when its raining), Owl sounds at night (also not when its raining), an Alligator that will react with proximity, and more.
The release also includes a nearby unregistered airstrip as well so you get two for the price of one. Speaking of price, the $6.99 USD price is reasonably inexpensive. It’s been submitted to the Marketplace so it should show up any time now!
Keep an eye on Emerald Scenery Design’s Facebook for more updates and visit their website. Interested in their Alaska scenery? I did a couple of flight journals earlier in the year detailing my flights in and out of their payware and freeware scenery packs.
