The latest DCS World Weekend News update is here. It’s fairly light on new information this week (we’ve had a few weeks with some notable updates for several module) but it does have a summary of recent F-4E updates as well as the announcement of a new livery competition for the DCS: Mi-24P Hind module. Let’s talk details!
Hind livery competition

First up, we have a new livery competition from Eagle Dynamics. The company has previously worked with livery artists to offer up prizes for the best livery with ED Miles prizes to be used towards DCS World products. The latest is focused on the DCS: Mi-24P Hind helicopter.
First place winds $100 ED miles, 1 free Eagle Dynamics module, and will see their livery added to the Mi-24P Hind module. The second place gets $50 in ED miles, and the third place gets $25 in ED miles. All three winners will see their livery added to the Mi-24P Hind default download.
If you’re looking to enter, be sure to check the rules and guidelines. They’ve made special note to emphasize a desire to feature liveries used prior to 2018 with special interest on 1980s Afghanistan liveries – no doubt to pair with DCS: Afghanistan.
F-4E update
The DCS World Weekend update turns to the DCS: F-4E Phantom with a summary of some recent updates. This is largely the same information that was released by Heatblur a few weeks ago. In quick summary, the jet has seen updates to the RWR, to Jester AI, new German-specific bombs have been added, and the F-4 has the new FROG-7 campaign making use of the DCS: Syria map.
