Coming in just a few hours ago, AzurPoly is another developer that has recently offered an update on their projects for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. The focus is on their in-development Jaguar with some great new images, however, they have also recently talked about compatibility of their other aircraft.

Jaguar efforts continue

The first part of this update is focused on AzurPoly’s newest project in development. The Jaguar is making good progress and the latest images show it off to good effect. They report that all art related details are complete and that they are working on “plenty” of liveries representing the French squadrons that flew this specific version of the jet.

They also report that systems are advanced and everything up to and including the HUD is now working.

They are working on moving the jet to MSFS 2024 and the images above are from the new sim. They also confirm something that IndiaFoxtEcho have been talking about recently and that is that static weapons are now going to be allowed within the Marketplace.

And yes, I know a few of you are looking at this and going “I wish we had it in DCS” and my answer is that I wish that too!

Compatibility update

AzurPoly have committed to ensuring that their aircraft are fully functional in MSFS 2024 and they intend to do that free of charge. Here’s their statement on the matter:

Our goal is to have all our aircraft 100% functional in MSFS 2024, and for free (we will not charge our customers for their already bought aircraft to work in the new simulator). We hope that simulator core bugs will be fixed as early as possible, and we are currently deploying small updates in parallel to fix minor bugs on our side. We will flag our products as “compatible with MSFS 2024” only once it is the actually the case, which could happen later after the simulator release.

Right now, the developers have updated their support section on their website to include retro-compatibility issues. A lot of the issues are similar across the board with pilot and copilot not showing visually, aircraft performance issues, engines shutting down when starting from the runway, the EFB map is blinking, and lights are barely visible.

Hopefully all of these compatibility issues will be resolved between AzurPoly and Asobo as MSFS 2024 grows out of its initial teething issues.
