I’ve been awaiting the arrival of Just Flight’s follow-up to the Fokker F28 with their F70/100 project. The more modern airliner has been in development for quite some time and the latest update gives us a good indication of the progress.

Programming and updated visuals inside and out

We can see the progress visually thanks to new images from the Just Flight team showing us both the insides and the outsides of the Fokker F70/F100 project. This follow on to their F28 Professional gives us the successor aircraft developed from the F28 and sporting more modern avionics. It, and the Avro RJ, are two of the more modern offerings from Just Flight which has taken them some time to work through.

They report that coding for systems has reached about 80% now and that their team of testers, many whom have flown the F70 or F100, are ready to help sort out the bugs and get the project ready for a release.

The textures are all now up to 8K resolution, as with other recent projects, and the artists are now working on liveries representing the many operators of the type.

It also sounds like the project will launch for MSFS 2020.

With regards to MSFS 2020 and 2024 compatibility, it’s still early days for MSFS 2024 and so core development is continuing in MSFS 2020 for now whilst we wait for greater stability. We remain committed to supporting both simulators.

One response to “Just Flight update us on their work on the Fokker F70/100”

  1. Wow! Just Flight has done a brilliant job on their Fokker 70/100 addon. I like how that they have done their texturing up to the 8k level. It should be out by this first half of 2025 (I think judging on how far they have already come). As for their A300 B4, I think it will be out by this time next year, after seeing how far they have come with that. Still waiting for news on their 747 Classic though… (whenever that’ll be is the $64 question of the day.)
