In an update on their website titled “What happened to the ERJ Family?” the developers at X-Crafts have let us all know that they have plans to upgrade their legacy ERJ series for X-Plane 11 into an X-Plane 12 version. Let’s have a look!
Updated to version 2

Embraer E135, E140, E145, E145XR and Legacy 650 series of aircraft made by X-Crafts for X-Plane 11 came out back in 2019. The team has updated them a few times since then but then moved on to the more modern E-Jets series which has been the focus for their X-Plane 12 line-up as well. Now they are turning back to the ERJs and bringing them up to a new standard.
X-Crafts are making a lot of changes for the ERJ series. A new flight model, created from scratch and optimized for X-Plane 12 is one item along with custom hydraulic, fuel and anti-ice systems. A new and more accurate FADEC has been implemented as well.

There are new screen pop-ups where you can open the PFD, MFD, and EICAS in a two dimensional window. There’s also a new high resolution nav map, a new tablet and new sounds.
All of this goes beyond a compatibility update to bring the aircraft into X-Plane 12 and, as a result, the X-Crafts team have decided that these will be a Version 2 upgrade. A paid update, of $20 USD for current V1 users, is planned.
No timeline is given but they did say that they expect to finish work on the Linage 1000 E-Jets release around the end of February.
