A classic airport has just been remastered for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Orbx’s rendition of KORS Orcas Island has returned to the latest edition of the simulator.
Back to Orcas Island!

Dating back through FSX, FS9 and a popular option for X-Plane flyers too, Orcas Island has become something of icon for flight sim fans. Orbx has just released the latest edition of it, created by developer Andreas Hegi. Located on the namesake island in the San Juan archipelago in the northwestern corner of Washington state, it’s a great little GA oriented airstrip.
The MSFS 2024 updated version of the scenery features PBR UHD texturing, dynamic & emissive night lighting, improved and updated vegetation and grass, weather-influenced ground polygon, a sloped runway and elevated taxiways.
It’s a free update for owners of the 2020 version or $18.84 AUD (US$11,76 | €11,32 | £9,40) to buy it new.
Lean more about it in the announcement thread or on the Orbx store.
