The folks at SimWorks Studios have released a great collection of aircraft for MSFS 2020 and are working away on updating them for 2024. Their first significant dev update in the new year covers the status on a couple of their projects so let’s dig into it!

Kodiak, Van’s RV and more!

Updates for the Van’s RV series of aircraft as well as the company’s Zenith bushplane have all been pushed to all of the stores that the company is selling their products through. That includes the Marketplace so depending on the speed of the store front you should start to see compatibility updates for all of these aircraft coming in shortly.

Meanwhile, the team is also busy working on their two turboprops. The Kodiak 100 is scheduled for next week or the week after with the wheeled version coming first and amphibian coming later.

One more update is planned for 2020 editions of the aircraft with improvements to the engine, electrical, integrated checklists for the G1000 and a new Engine Indication System. Further updates will be aimed at the Kodiak 100 for 2024 as well as the development of the Kodiak 900.

Meanwhile, a similar upgrade process is going forward for the PC-12 and is aimed at getting a release in the next couple of weeks alongside the Kodiak. So if you’re a fan of either of these planes, you should be seeing them pop up soon!

More news surely to come from SimWorks Studios through their Facebook and Discord communities.

  1. Looking forward to the Kodiak for MSFS 2024. I never flew the one I bought for 2020. I recently spent your inheritance to pickup the Honeycomb yoke and throttle quadrant (and finally have the Single Eng TurboProp programming complete).

    1. Oooh I love the new hardware setup! That’s great. The Kodiak is such a fun airplane, I highly recommend the 2020 version and I’m going to be taking a close look at the 2024 version very soon!
