  1. Kinda funny, my IL2 install was corrupted and wouldn’t start or update, so I haven’t touched it in ages. Then I read this article, thought I might try again for fun, and now I’m getting a 50GB+ update.

Thanks for the good luck. 🙂

  2. I am looking forwards to when the Odessa map comes out. It will be fun. Though I wished we could have seen at least one late 1944-45 Eastern Front module concurrent to the Battle of the Bulge. What are your thoughts on this?

I remember Jason saying at one point that it would have been great for the series to have an ending at Berlin or something like that. This is second best but it is interesting history nonetheless.

      1. Have you ever thought of a South Poland – Slovakian module for Great Battles? I think it would sell really well because a lot happened here during WWII, including the Slovakian Invasion of Poland, the Slovakian-Hungarian War and the 1944-45 Soviet offensives into Southern Poland and Slovakia. Plus it was one of the maps in the original IL-2 1946. I envision there would be cities like Wrocław, Krakow, Lublin, Lvov, Vienna and Bratislava to name a few. I also envision it being worked alongside a map of Northern Poland and Eastern Germany and include cities like Brest, Warsaw and Berlin. We would get planes like the IL-2M, IL-4, Tu-2S, La-7 late, Yak-9D, Bf-109 G-10, Fw-190 A-9, He-111 H-20, Hs-129 B-3, Ju-88 S-1 and Ju-188 E-1. I think it would be a great module to buy. But I know they have to move on though. Still, a man can dream, right?
