The developers at X-Crafts report that they are just weeks away from a full release of their E-Jets Family 2.0 product and have launched into an open beta in the run up. The new update comes with a lengthy list of upgrades and updates to the E-Jets series of airliners and introduces a new member of the family – the high end Lineage 1000 business jet. There are some upcoming price changes too so let’s have a look at all of what you need to know.
Open beta now, release coming soon

X-Crafts have added a ton of new features to the E-Jets Family for their 2.0 release. One of the headlining features is a fix to X-Plane 12’s long-standing dark cockpits and interiors issue. The team have implemented their own ambient lighting modifier with default, dynamic and natural settings. The feature is coming to the Lineage first and then to the other aircraft after.
They’ve also added features like a new noise cancelling headset effect, improved strobe and nav light behaviour, updated EFB tablet, new fuel system custom for the E-Jets, a new more realistic autobreak and they have also added to the RNAV based Glide Path (GP) Autopilot mode for autopilot landings at airports without an ILS.
The open beta marks the release of the Lineage 1000 which is a high end business jet with an 8,500 km range, more powerful CF34-10E7-B engines, integrated airstairs, four liveries, custom luxury interior, optional SATCOM antenna, and customization options for the interior. The developers are keen to point out that the Lineage isn’t just a copy-paste of the other variants and has these unique features.
Right now this is all available in the open beta for current owners of the pack. It will switch to a released state somewhere around March 1st.
Pricing changes
X-Crafts have been selling the E-Jets Family in individual offerings and in a package deal for $134.95 USD. The addition of content (namely the Lineage) is causing a revision in the bundle pricing up to $149.95 USD which hasn’t taken effect yet but will when the whole package releases.
Individual aircraft are on offer for $74.95. Right now the Lineage 1000 is only available in the bundle package, however, they intend to offer it as an individual purchase at or soon after release.
