Turn based dogfight sim Scramble: Battle of Britain has just added a new key feature in their early access roadmap: multiplayer! That’s not all because a recently released roadmap stream has given us new insights into their future content additions and feature upgrades. They’ve also started on a Battle of Britain focused documentary series that was worth a watch. Here’s the latest!

Multiplayer early access

The headline feature added to the turn-based dogfight game is multiplayer. PvP multiplayer is still reportedly in development during the early access launch of this game and the developers are actively looking for people to playtest and share feedback on the experience.

In-case you’re wondering what Scramble: Battle of Britain’s multiplayer looks like, popular YouTuber Wolfpack345 has posted a great video of what the experience is like.

Read more about the launch of multiplayer into the game’s early access through the latest news post on the Slitherine website.

The road ahead

A livestream on March 31st also confirmed the game’s next steps with a roadmap graphic and some discussion on what they are intending to add to the dogfight experience.

Some of the highlights, as you can see, are the addition of a pilot training module, the aformentioned multiplayer and the addition of the Do 17 as an AI bomber. The Do 17 will later be joined by the Ju88, Blenheim, Bf110, and other aircraft.

That’s not all because the team looks set to be adding more of everything to the experience. Upgrades to the damage simulation, sound effect and soundtrack additions, landscapes, new mission types, a scenario editor and more.

It’s all covered in this live stream shared on Twitch and YouTube.

Battle of Britain documentary

Slitherine are also producing a documentary series with the first episode, titled “Heroes in the Skies: the Pilots of the Battle of Britain,” talks with experts and historians on the origins of the Ace and how they were viewed during the Battle of Britain.

You can watch it here!

Scramble: Battle of Britain is currently available in early access on Steam. The game is currently 10% off too.

  1. This is a great little game! it has in fact helped me in A2A combat and inspired me to reinstall Il-2 Sturmovik. Indie development leads the way again.
