If you’ve been looking for a C-130 to add into your MSFS 2024 aircraft hangar, you’re in luck because Blackbird Simulations has just come out with their C-130 simulation which they are calling the “Dirty 30 ADV.” The aircraft is launching into a paid alpha state with additional features set to arrive later on. Here’s the details.

Early access C-130

Controversially releasing into an early access or alpha state, Blackbird Simulations are doing something a little different this time around with their C-130 release. The aircraft is reportedly launching with 96% feature completion with regular updates leading to full release planned for later on in development. They are indicating that the price will adjust as it goes along with alpha purchasers getting a $24.99 USD price tag and with the price increasing by an unspecified amount through the beta and into final release as discreet steps.

The company reports that the aircraft has accurate avionics, flight and engine systems, electrical and hydraulic modeling, detailed 3D models insdie and out, performance tuned from real world data, multiple cargo configurations, two nose variants (short and long), system driven failures, terrain awareness system, full featured HUD and 16 different avionics screens and MFD with hundreds of pages.

They also point out that some features are incomplete, thus the early access or alpha state. Sounds, autopilot, failures, holding patterns, and various other features are either incomplete or in need of refinement.

Learn more about this product and assess the full list of available features and incomplete features over on the Blackbird Simulations website.

I took it for a 20 min flight yesterday.

It’s in a very good state already.

All the systems of a modern airliner, with all the interesting capabilities of a tactical airlifter.

Best $25 I’ve ever spent for an addon. 🙂

That is really encouraging! I was a bit concerned about the alpha tag and the long list of things not yet implemented, but I’m hearing great things from you and from others.
