If there was an airliner that I most want to have in the sim it’s probably the Q400. I love turboprop airliners and judging by the semi-frequent requests over the years for a Dash-8 of any model, I’m probably not alone! Fortunately it looks like the long awaited Majestic Q400 is making some progress.
Turboprop airliner in development
Last May, Majestic Software reconfirmed that they were developing the Q400 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. After developing a much loved version for FSX and P3D, fans of the type and the developers have been waiting it out hoping for some more news on the type.
The latest update, presented the Majestic Forums, gives us some new details.
I hope all is well with everyone. Here is an update for folks who are wondering about the progress regarding the MJC Q400. As we mentioned in our previous post a few months ago, work is progressing. The following images that are being shared are “renders only” and not in-Sim images.
The renders below show the 3D model work in progress on the aircraft. Far from a port, the team at Majestic are planning a ground up development for the modern sim. The Q400 is the first development but follow on Q300 and Q200 models are also planned. Looking forward to more details soon.
