It has been a long time since I checked in on FlyByWire Simulations. The freeware developer group got their start modifying the basic Asobo A320neo back when MSFS 2020 came out and since then they have expanded their reach with a near total overhaul of the original A320neo and developed their own A380 as well. Here are some recent highlights!
New stable release with new features and fixes

The freeware developer keeps on churning on with constant fixes and updates. Beta and stable versions of the A32NX project are available but its the stable version, that most folks are using, that makes a bit of a splash with the recent V0.13.0 stable update.
In there’s a new brake simulation with physics based performance attributes. There’s a new electrical system for more accurate start-up and power behaviour. They’ve expanded their failure modeling, fully simulated the navigation and control computers, improved the ground power management, refined the FMS and tweaked the aircraft’s EFIS displays.
The team report over 30 fixes across various systems as well. A full change log is available here.
The A380X, still considered an alpha product, also has arrived with v0.13.0. New optional 4K downscaled cabin, cockpit and exterior textures are available. An 8K full resolution option is also available.
The update also includes more realistic GPU handling, improved presets, tuned wingflex, and fuel settings have been calibrated too. The project remains a significant effort by the collective of programmers there and the Super Jumbo will continue to improve.
The changelog for the A380X is available here.
Of course, MSFS 2020 and 2024 players can visit the FlyByWire Simulations website at any time, download their installer and download both of their aircraft to fly at any time.
