DCS single player folks have a couple of pieces of content that they can look forward to. Reflected Simulations has confirmed work on a new DCS: F4U Corsair campaign that will eventually come out to support the module. Meanwhile, Sedlo has released a couple of videos talking about his new F-4E focused campaign. Let’s go!

Gulf Guardian coming soon

Sedlo has created some great campaigns for DCS over the years including Bold Cheeta and Eastern Friendship as well as a good number of single missions that have offered plenty of tense moments flying some of my favourite DCS aircraft. Some of his Red Flag missions have been extremely fun to fly for example!

Now Sedlo is doing an F-4E Phantom campaign called “Gulf Guardian” set in 1986 in the Persian Gulf. Here’s the feature set as reported by the author on the YouTube video announcement:

  • Five Challenging Missions: Engage in diverse, realistic scenarios that push the boundaries of single-player DCS gameplay.
  • Custom Briefings & Background Notes: Dive deep into the unfolding narrative with detailed mission briefings, custom kneeboard cards and insightful background information.
  • Immersive Voice-Overs: Experience heightened realism with high-quality voice acting that brings each mission to life.
  • Unparalleled Immersion: From the situations you’ll face to the attention to detail, every aspect of Gulf Guardian is designed for a truly captivating experience.

Sedlo also goes a little more in-depth on some of the features of the campaign.

Released is reportedly coming “soon!”

Corsair campaign confirmed

With the launch of DCS: F4U Corsair and the beginning of the DCS WWII Pacific experience, I did wonder how long it would take before we’d get some single player content to go along with it. Reflected Simulations, well known for several impressive DCS WWII campaigns spanning most of the aircraft collection, is on the job.

The campaign is intended to be set during the Okinawa battle and will feature a mix of historically documented missions as well as some historically influenced missions (documentation was reportedly more difficult than with European missions).

The process is just getting underway and the delivery time will have a lot to do with how quickly the Pacific asset pack and its contents are released.

  1. With the videos that Reflected has been doing with the Corsair I was expecting an announcement – should be a good one (once the asset pack is out)
