The folks at iniBuilds have posted a summary and future roadmap for their aircraft and scenery in recent days. The summary includes their latest efforts on the A350 plus some news about their next projects which include the A340 and A380. There’s also some talk about their next scenery projects so we’ll have a look at that and breakdown some of the news.
Looking back at the A350
The update from iniBuilds starts with an overview of their efforts talking about their excitement about the release of the Spartan 7W Executive, F406 Caravan II and A350 in the last several months. The A350 occupies most of the headspace here with the long-haul airliner receiving updates v1.1.1 and v1.1.2 which have contributed further bug fixes, adds the HUD, adds new MSFS 2024 weathering effects and adds visible window blinds to the exterior model. FMS, CPDLC, FADEC and other systems (acronyms galore!) have also received updates.

While the picture painted is a very positive one, the A350 has seen its share of troubles since release with frequent crashing and various other issues with accuracy and systems. The company chose not to release it onto Xbox until only recently and reportedly the MSFS 2020 build is still not where the company wants it to be.
One of the biggest issues is surrounding WASM with community members reporting frequent and persistent crashing. iniBuilds reports they’ve setup a dedicated testing group within their Discord to address WASM related issues and also note that Sim Update 3 fixes some core areas of memory allocation which its implied will help.
iniBuilds report that they’ve completed their future roadmap for the A350. As evidenced by the graphic below.

They say that they will continue to refine the product and address bugs saying the following:
But the process doesn’t stop here – we remain fully committed to the ongoing development of the A350. With continuous updates planned to further refine the experience, address emerging bugs, and ensure maximum compatibility and performance across all supported platforms, including Xbox and, eventually, MSFS 2020.
I know that statement hasn’t quite landed as well with some detractors as they continue to experience frustrations with the product. We’ll have to see how a combination of the latest updates and Sim Update 3’s final release come together to improve the experience. That combination may well offer up a more solid experience.
The A340 and A380!

As much as many want to see current products updated, some of you are also excited about future products and here iniBuilds is delivering. The A340 Airliner for MSFS 2024 is officially iniBuilds next big project. They report that the project learns from the A300-600R(F) and A350 Airliner projects and is aimed at a deeply simulated aircraft with detailed sound, visuals and flight deck. Full EFB, failure, and real world liveries (many on display in the initial images) are confirmed features.
The company is aiming at modeling the A340-313 with CFM56-5C4 which is the highest thrust version of the A340-300. Though they note that you can still expect slow climbs from the aircraft as the A340 is somewhat famous for.
The aircraft will have passenger, freighter and ACJ (luxury/VIP) included in a single purchase. They also confirm its for MSFS 2024 only with PC and Xbox release at the same time.
A short video has been released to showcase it. If you’re on a phone, rotate to watch it. If you’re on your PC, like I am right now, the setup is a little less than ideal (note to iniBuilds: Do both aspects!)
This iniBuilds A340 will be up against Aerosoft’s new partnership with ToLiss (who have a very detailed A340-600 in X-Plane 12).
The update also took a moment to acknowledge that iniBuilds are still working on their previously announced A380 project. They’ve recently gained access to a full-motion A380 simulator. They’ve also visited aircraft in storage. All helpful research moments for a big complex airplane like the A380. This is likely a much longer term project so I wouldn’t expect it soon.
Scenery updates

A quick summary of what was said about scenery. The team at iniBuilds report that they’ve overhauled older scenery and re-released them with Enhanced features using the new SDK technologies. These are Ibiza, Palm Springs, Dubai, Los Angeles and New York. There was also London Heathrow and Gatwick, the special FSExpo 2025 related Providence T. F. Green International Airport, and then most recently they released Doha Hamad International (OTHH), Doha City Landmarks Pack, and Larnaca International Airport (LCLK).
The company isn’t saying much about future scenery packages but they have announced Manchester (EGCC) as their next project.
Not mentioned but we know about updates coming
iniBuilds have quite a portfolio now and some of their aircraft have been done in partnership with Microsoft. Some of those include MSFS 2024 aircraft like the A330 in several variants and the A321LR as well as the venerable A310. Many of these are due for some updates in Sim Update 3 but iniBuilds is leaving Microsoft to report on those. We should have the full changelog on those soon as SU3 arrives.
Call for help and suggestions
Both scenery and aircraft updates have included calls for both help from airliner pilots, help from general aviation pilots and for suggestions from the broader aviation community. Several e-mail links have been provided at the bottom of their updates if you have information or resources that can help them bring more aircraft to the sim.
