After a bit of a quiet stretch, Carenado have been on a tear recently with the CT210N having just released at the beginning of July. Now its the middle of August and they have released their next general aviation aircraft and it once again sports the company’s “Real Xperience” featureset. Let’s have a look!

Baron 55’s time to shine

If twin engine general aviation is your think, the Carenado B55 might be of some interest. The aircraft represents a Beechcraft Baron 55, a six seater with a pair of Continental IO-470-L rated at 260 horsepower powering the whole experience.

Carenado are touting their “Real Xperience” featureset with this aircraft making it the second in their series that have these features. That includes shaking instrument needles, realistic gyro synchronization at start-up, realistic engine vibrations and various other immersive visual features.

Carenado have packed it with a Aspen Avionics EFD1000 PFD which can be fitted optionally in place of a traditional six pack offering both types of experiences. It has a typical Bendix King KFC 225 autopilot and Garmin GNS530 and GNS430 for GPS. If you have the PMS50 or TDSsim GTN750/650 you can also make use of those panels with the aircraft. All of those features can be accessed and adjusted on the aircraft’s tablet allowing for realtime swapping.

It includes 8 liveries plus a blank white one for aircraft repainters.

The aircraft is now available exclusively in the MSFS 2024 Marketplace for $24.99 USD. The company’s plans for MSFS 2020 aren’t yet known but they are likely to release the aircraft on that platform as well following a similar pattern with the CT210N. Learn more about it on the Carenado website.

  1. Carenado is really upping their game. Since 2024 came out they have consistently released good quality GA aircraft for the sim. They have earned my respect in doing so.

Absolutely agree. Their recent Microsoft partnership products have been very good and their solo releases even better than those. They don’t have the depth that some crave but they are priced right for what they offer.

I think I am going to have to check out the B55 or one of these recent releases and compare/contrast to what was on offer before.

Have you bought any recent releases?
