It sounds like we’re getting closer to release with Just Flight’s Fokker 70 and Fokker 100 airliners. The latest development update has just come out and its focused on some of the smaller details that the team are putting finishing touches on. Let’s have a look!

Getting everything ready

Just Flight’s F70 and F100 are taking shape and the latest developer update is focused on some of the key systems that the team are finishing up. Systems like the TCAS collision avoidance system, the weather radar, and work on the aircraft’s EFB. Just Flight are putting some of their usual touches in place too like an interactive flipchart attached to a clip up at the front of the aircraft. Or the paperchecklist attached to the yoke.

The team also report that they are implementing a series of configuration options with each F70 and F100 livery fitted with appropriate equipment for the operator. These can also be set in the EFB and include features like fast or realistic INS alignment times, pilot model visibility, and even the sun visors. Back in the cabin, it now has functional controls and a digital music player just as with past Just Flight offerings.

What’s left?

You may be asking what’s left to do as it seems like this project is coming together nicely. Well Just Flight say that they are still working on the automatic flight control (AFCAS), auto throttle, and the flight management system. They also report working on specific details like waypoints with upper and lower constraints and unknown behaviour in situations like that according to aircraft documentation – for that they are turning to their subject matter experts – current or former Fokker 70 and F100 flyers.

The tone of the post sounds quite positive as Just Flight appear to be closing in on release. Its not done just yet but the status update is nonetheless appreciated.
