The original variant of the Cessna 172 has come to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 with a new Carenado release. The company has been busy releasing aircraft recently and this is their latest. Let’s check it out!

A classic Cessna

Carenado are back with a new classic Cessna mode and this time its the original Cessna 172A. The first generation of a type that have become synonymous with general aviation.

The aircraft comes with 8 liveries (plus a blank one), autopilot, GNS430, optional PMS50 and TDSSIM GTN650 support, and the aircraft makes use of Carenado’s RealXperience features such as vibrating needles, engine motion causes the aircraft to rock on its wheels, dirt builds up on the exterior of the aircraft during use, etc.

The aircraft is available exclusively in the MSFS 2024 Marketplace for $14.99 USD. Previous releases have usually filtered out to MSFS 2020 in the weeks after initial release and this aircraft is likely to follow.
