The wait for an A340 in Microsoft Flight Simulator won’t be much longer with iniBuilds CEO confirming that the aircraft is due to release this month. A release overview video takes us through the details of the airplane a slightly unusual arrangement for release relative to their prior airliner releases. Let’s have a look!

Nearly ready to fly

Widebody airliners fans have yet another choice arriving in the near future with confirmation from Ubaid Mussa, iniBuilds CEO, on the company’s Discord server saying that the release is “coming sooner than you think.” Then following up with word that it would be released this month.

Further to that, we now have the iniBuilds A340 introductory video which is a nearly hour long look at the the history of the aircraft, external and internal visual details, features and functionality, GSX integration, EIS 1 and 2 display differences, a look at the EFB and more.

Release information

The video confirms that the airliner is going to release exclusively for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and that it will be releasing in the MSFS Marketplace for the first few months. Presumably it will come to the iniManager storefront eventually but if you want it on release day its Marketplace only. This is certainly a strange arrangement for a company that has such a strong marketplace of their own, but that’s the official word.

One response to “iniBuilds confirms A340 coming this month, release overview video”

  1. I think they need to hold on to the A340 for a while until they perfected the aircraft. They should have also done that with their A350. I think I get why they do early access – for constructive criticism, but you never get a second shot at a first impression. I believe that is why BlueBird Simulations are getting their 757 to be of the best quality by the time they make it available.
