Fokker F28 gets a big update and sale

Version 2.2 of the Fokker F28 is here with some big updates. The aircraft is now a MSFS 2024 native (rather than compatible) aircraft with additional model LODs for improved performance, and pre-flight walk-around support. The aircraft has also picked up a bunch of other features like the latest version of Just Flight’s EFB tablet (with new positioning features), fixed chart and map flickering, a new livery option allowing for custom cabin interiors for aircraft operators, and the aircraft’s UNS-1 FMS now has SimBrief OFP import functionality. 1. As good as that Archer III looks, I do wish Thranda would keep a few of their other modules updated as well. Seems to be a few that are old enough with FMOD sound bugs that will cause havoc with XP12 unfortunately, even though they are modeled very well, it just renders the mod(s) practically unusable.

Which ones aren’t working so well these days? I did end up buying, though I haven’t flown it much, their XP12 updated Kodiak (I love that plane). They have quite a back catalogue of their own that would be nice to see updated.

With this Archer its a bit of a different setup as I understand it. Just Flight had a bunch of these aircraft in prior versions of X-Plane and while their team have gone to MSFS development, they’ve got Thranda as a partner to spruce them up for XP12. Seems to be working. I hear positive things about them and one day I may just end up checking one out.
