Well known X-Plane developer Felis has released a follow-on product to the 747-200 Classic passenger version released back in 2021. This new release is the freighter variant and here are some details.

Classic jumbo now with freight

Not too many developers have tackled the 747 in recent history but Felis’ work on the 747-200 Classic has certainly attracted some fans over the years. The classic Jumbo Jet is a perennial favourite and its got a sibling to go with it. The Freighter variant has just been released and sports a fully modeled cargo deck, operational nose and side cargo doors, freighter specific cockpit panels along with a highly detailed exterior, PBR materials, and optimizations for X-Plane 12 lighting, reflections and performance.

The aircraft sports GE CF6-50E2 engines with FMOD sounds, a custom EFB, custom coded CIVA INS, along with custom pressure, air condition, electrical and fuel system simulations.

The 747-200F Classic Cargo from Felis is available as an individual purchase of $70. If you already own the passenger version, its just $30 to add the cargo variant.

  1. I flew her last night EDFH-LEBL with the Lufthansa livery. Outstanding work by Felis. Even higher praise has to be given because of the circumstances he have to work under.

Freighter has been always the main variant I wanted since PAX purchase in 2021. Since then I used the window plug mod.

Terrific sounds with the new engine and the new panel with the tape layouts look real nice and intuitive. Improvements to the tablet were very welcome as well, and I think it is in the PAX too.

This addon brought me back to X-Plane and induced me purchasing X-Plane 12 a month ago. The physics really makes you feel like steering a building when taxing. 😄The default liveries are very well made too.
