Holiday sales, end of year sales, Black Friday sales, whatever they are being called… its sales season. Some of the best discounts of the year come up over the next five or six weeks. Here are some of the deals that you might want to take advantage of.

DCS World

Already reported on and well underway, DCS World’s Thanksgiving Sale will end on 27th of November at 10:00 GMT. There’s the usual 50% off most modules in the store with a few other modules picking up notable discounts such as the DCS: F-14 with 25% off and DCS: F/A-18 and Supercarrier at 40%.

Deals are available through Steam and the DCS World e-Shop.

A2A sales

A2A Simulations roster of MSFS aircraft has increased to two and both of them have small discounts on hand. 10% off the recently released Accu-Sim Aerostar 600 for both MSFS 2020 and 2024. Also available is 25% off the price of the Accu-Sim Comanche 250. They are also offering discounts on older FSX and P3D aircraft if you’re still collecting for those sims.

The folks at Got Friends are offering up a big sale. Either $1.99 or $9.99 prices for their entire store and they are offering a couple of products entirely free. Available for free is the Gee Bee R3 Special and the Astro One. The only item not on sale is the recently released A-32 Vixxen (read my review).

There’s also some good sales on from iniBuilds store with discounts across a wide variety of products. That includes scenery and more available from the list here. The company has also specifically highlighted a special £38.99 GBP sale on their A350 airliner. More details about that here.

Have you seen any deals?

There’s probably more deals to be found. If it means saving you some dollars for your favourite sim, it’s always good to know what is available. Give me a shout in the comments if you’ve seen a sale I haven’t.

  1. Did you hear that IL-2 is going to make big announcements next week? To quote IL-2 from their Facebook page:

There is no dev blog entry today, as we are preparing for a busy week of exhibitions and announcements about both Great Battles and Korea.”

I am excited to read what they have to say.

      1. Indeed! I have a suspicion we’ll hear about a couple of collector planes that support the Finnish Gulf area. A B-239 would be a great thing!

    2. I did although I’ve been around long enough to not quite jump at what it might be. I’m guessing we may get a roadmap to release on Korea, however, I think folks who were thinking it was going to have 2025 release may be disappointed. Its still possible but we’ve still not seen a lot of the gameplay that I’d expect to see at this stage.

The realist in me is holding as much as I love to be optimistic.

  2. Been getting back into FS2020 lately – I blame you – and some of the planes on sale in the marketplace look pretty tasty. The F-111 went from $50 to $16. And that’s such a cool plane. But very little ORBX stuff on the marketplace. Guess they prefer their own sales app.

    1. Sorry! 🙂

Yeah Orbx products and sales are almost entirely through their storefront. I’ve been using their store since about 2019 so when MSFS 2020 came out I was already onboard.

I do need to do some mini scenery reviews or top 10 lists or something. I have enough at this point.

      1. I remember you talking about doing scenery reviews someday. I have a few, Dubai and Sydney from ORBX. Also have las Vegas from Fly Tampa, that one is good fun and you get the city and the airport.

      2. At some point! I’m backlogged on aircraft (and one IL-2 campaign) that I’ve been meaning to review.

Still waiting for Fly Tampa and their Las Vegas scenery to move to 2024. One of the few I’m still waiting on. Aerosoft just moved their Munich scenery over to 2024 which I’d been waiting for as well.

  3. the COWS Da-42 is on sale for $17.99!

the MS MarketPlace has a big sale with up to 80% off some addons (like the COWS, and CowanSim helos)

the X-Plane.org store already has some good deals posted, but I don’t think it’s the actual Black Friday sale quite yet (e.g., no Toliss or Flight Factor sales so far).
