One of the more interesting items to emerge from FSExpo 2025 was news that ToLiss, a well known X-Plane developer, and Aerosoft were going to team-up to do an A340-600 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Several videos have come out since then, however, the latest is less of a developer preview and more “gameplay” with few cuts. Let’s have a look!

First flight

ToLiss have spent years perfecting their simulation of aircraft for X-Plane. Some of that time has been spent externalizing the majority of their aircraft simulation outside of the sim (not unlike how Fenix A320 works if you’re familiar with that). While the effort of doing that was aimed at letting them do a lot of custom work for their Airbus line for X-Plane, the side effect is that the team has been able to turn around and offer that technology for MSFS in partnership with Aerosoft. Aerosoft did the visuals, ToLiss did the systems.

The latest video is essentially a complete flight (with some of the middle parts cut out) showing a cold and dark start, systems setup, sounds, displays, takeoff, landing, etc.

You can get a good sense of the aircraft, its visuals and sounds, from all of this. Watch it here and stay tuned for more news about this project coming soon.

  1. Looks really good. Good on you Tolis and Aerosoft for making the A340-600 for MSFS. I believe the sim is long overdue for one.
