The latest update to Combat Pilot’s Patreon alpha test has arrived and is packaged with a whole bunch of new features. Even if you’re not in the alpha test itself, the update helps paint a picture of the kinds of things that the sim is adding to its capabilities list. Let’s have a look!
Patreon Alpha update 9
There are 36 items on the list of changes, updates and additions for the latest alpha test for Combat Pilot. Some of those are fixes to current systems while there are also new features packaged in there too.
Some of the highlights include a new update where the fly-by-camera now repositions itself after a short period of time. There’s a new custom skin system has been added, instrument needles now vibrate, cockpit lights for the F4F and A6M have been added, and the A6M has had a mesh update. There’s also new anti-aliasing options in the graphic options. Over on the flight model side of things there’s updates to the propeller model, landing gear physics, trim effect changes, stall response, thermal model for the engines have been updated and drag modifications have been made too.
Also released today was a series of six new screenshots from Combat Pilot Executive Producer Jason Williams. The new shots highlight the lighting system and new skins for the A6M.
