We’ve got a flight sim news round-up with a bunch of news coming out to us from FlightFX on the HJet upgrade, AzurPoly has a great new video out about the Rafale project, SimWorks Studios is doing updates to both the Kodiak 100 and AirVan, and there’s a little nugget of info I missed from back in January from BlueMesh. Let’s check it out!
FlightFX and the HJet coming to 2024
FlightFX and Aviation Lads have put out a new trailer showing off the HJet for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This is a Honda very light business jet simulation and a remaster of Marwan Gharib’s HJet from 2020. Current owners get the upgrade for free while new users will be looking at $24.99 USD to get into the aircraft.
It has revised flight physics, a new tablet with Navigraph and SimBrief support, remastered interior and exterior, G3000 avionics, custom vertical elevation display, auto throttle and a new soundscape by Echo 19! The aircraft also supports Career mode in the private charter category.

The HJet quickly became a personal favourite of mine so I’m looking forward to revisiting the remaster! When is it coming out you say? February 19th! So you won’t be waiting long.

AzurPoly and the Rafale
AzurPoly and JFEXP are busy working on the officially licensed Rafale for Microsoft Flight Simulator. DCS fans, don’t discount this one entirely as JFEXP are also involved with Heatblur’s Rafale effort so there’s at least some sort of crossover.
The latest update is another AviationLads created video doing a walkaround of the jet and some of its features. Among those features include the ability to mount weapons on the pylons in different configurations using a variant of AzurPoly’s tablet experience.
The video notes some limitations with the MSFS flight model not fully supporting delta wing aircraft, however, they say that they’ve been able to dial in the experience reasonably well with some fly-by-wire modeling.
The visuals are impressive inside and out but we’ll have to wait to see the jet in action for a bit longer. More to come surely!

SimWorks updates on Kodiak and AirVan
The developer is busy updating their MSFS 2024 version of the Kodiak 100 with progress reported on tightening up core systems, ensuring that the Ctrl-E quick start process works, polishing the integration of the new SWS tablet and integrating the MSFS 2024 EFB with the ability to toggle it on the Yoke. Sound updates are still planned.

Meanwhile, updates for both the Kodiak 100 and the AirVan have been pushed out to the Marketplace and online stores for the MSFS 2020 versions of both aircraft. Changes include smoother handling, tablet updates, improved and takeoff and landing performance.
Keep an eye on the developer’s Facebook page for ongoing updates here.
BlueMesh Latécoère 631 coming to MSFS 2024

This bit of news is something I missed back in January. BlueMesh has confirmed via his Facebook page that the Latécoère 631 is receiving a number of updates to bring it up to MSFS 2024 standards.
There aren’t any details available but that’ll be a nice update to see!
