The A300B4 Professional from Just Flight looks to be getting closer to completion with the latest developer report showing off the aircraft’s lighting on the inside and out. Let’s have a look!

Everything is coming together

Just Flight have two major airliner projects on the go right now and both look to be coming closer to being ready to go (a Fokker F70/100 report is due next week apparently). The A300B4, the original Airbus, is showing its age with fluorescent style lighting rather than modern LEDs and Just Flight have been making sure the cockpit is filled with that warm glow.

A variety of different lighting is found in each aircraft, with each type and era having its own distinctive style. In contrast to the cool LEDs found in modern airliners, the A300B4 flight deck features the warm white glow of 1970’s fluorescent tubes and backlit panels, with subtle reflections from worn surfaces such as the thrust levers, centre pedestal and Flight Engineer’s pull-out table.

Just Flight say beta testing has begun and more regular updates are likely to be coming in short order. I can’t see this releasing in the near term but it’s certainly working its way towards being a releasable product. Just Flight tend to take their time but it should be worth a look!
