Busy weekend for flight sim news and we start off with the release of Local Legend 23 and City Update 14. Let’s have a look at what they’ve put together!

New scenery available!

We haven’t had a MSFS Q&A since the autumn so we’re flying blind without Jorg’s usual roadmap of content to come. Nonetheless, content is still rolling out thankfully and we have a new scenery pack covering the Netherlands and Belgium.

Updated photogrammetry for Amsterdam, Breukelen, Brielle, Eindhoven, Rotterdam, Antwerp, and Bruges adds to the mix of scenery available in the sim.

The update is available for both MSFS 2020 and 2024.

The Friendship arrives

Then we have a new aircraft release! The Fokker F27 Friendship is a turboprop airliner that first flew in 1955. With seating for 40 passengers and pressurized cabin, the aircraft was often used to replace piston engined DC-3s in passenger service. The aircraft comes with a number of branded and unbranded liveries and has been produced by iniBuilds.

I expect the aircraft will have a similar level of modeling to the iniBuilds YS-11 released last year.

The Fokker F27 Friendship is $19.99 USD in the MSFS Marketplace and is available for both sims.
