Eagle Dynamics has been working on their Data Transfer Cartridge (DTC) functionality for quite some time now and the latest video from Matt Wagner gives a good overview of the latest features being added. Let’s have a look!

Navigate in extreme detail

If you like plotting out your routes for your DCS missions, setting up multiple paths, offsets, and the like, this new DTC upgrade should be very interesting. Both single and multiplayer missions can make use of the mission editor to plug in DTC information for waypoints now on the DCS: F-16C Viper and DCS: F/A-18C.

The system is an extra on top of the standard pathing options from the mission builder. DTC comes with a lot of extra added depth that is specific to each aircraft and in the video, Matt walks us through the DCS: F-16C’s cruise DED path, visual reference points and offset aimpoints before turning to the DCS: F/A-18C and walking through waypoints and the offset aimpoints for the Hornet.

  1. I never use the DTC, but I’ll have to watch some videos about it and see what’s what.
