In what may be the first of its kind, I’ve just found out about the new FlightSimExpo launching in this year in Las Vegas. The expo, on June 9 and 10 promise to bring a variety of companies together with enthusiasts. Panel speakers, product demos, and more are on the schedule.

Here’s the details from the website:

Welcome to North America’s newest annual flight simulation and aviation conference. Brought to you by an experienced team of flight simulation enthusiasts from Boston Virtual ARTCC, FlightSimExpo connects simmers, developers, exhibitors, and real-world aviators from across the globe. Join us in Las Vegas on June 9-10, 2018 to meet others who share your passion, learn from experts, and try out others’ simulators.

FlightSimExpo is designed to bring flight simulation conferences to cities across the United States. The journey begins in 2018 in Las Vegas with easy international and domestic flight options, discounted hotel rooms, and plenty of activities before, during, and after the event. Created by simmers and developers, FlightSimExpo is the only community-created and driven flight simulation conference in North America.

More details here on the FlightSimExpo 2018 website.

Of note: 1C Game Studios, makers behind IL-2: Battle of Stalingrad and the IL-2 Great Battles series are listed as a launch partner.

Is this something that you might go to? Quite honestly I’ve already planned (and blown) my travel budget for 2018 but it sounds like an interesting experience.
