First video round-up of 2019

There are so many talented video creators out there producing great gameplay and cinematic videos for DCS, IL-2 and other series that I like to round up some of the best that I’ve seen over the last few months and share them with you. Let’s have a look at some of the best that I’ve seen over the last few months.

From canvas covered bi-planes to high tech wonders

Wolfram Harris’ recent video shows off a duel between his Pfalz D.IIIa and a Sopwith Camel on a JG1’s multiplayer server. It’s a good duel and a difficult situation for both pilots to try and overcome. Good fight and a good video showing off how intense Flying Circus’ multiplayer already is.

Tricker’s F-5 on the Cold War server features some great gameplay from that DCS World multiplayer server and some outstanding flying. He manages to be an ace in a day on the server in this video.

Want to see a P-47 ace in action in IL-2 multiplayer? Watch Arianne Scharfi go on the offense by turning the tables on her attackers and using every last bit of what the P-47D-28 in IL-2: Battle of Bodenplatte is capable of.

Another pilot pushes their plane to the limits in ‘Spitfire Surprise’ by Wanganui Wildcat. This short kill compilation video shows some great flying and some great Spitfire action in IL-2’s multiplayer.

Fleetfoot’s cinematic “Calling Out” has a puts a relentless yet somehow chilled mood on some great DCS World imagery. This cinematic features a bit of everything from Flankers to Hornets to Ka-50s and just about everything in between. I enjoyed the feel of the video and the smooth editing.

In what I think is a return to form for the group thanks to Caps’ improving health, The Grim Reapers take to the sky in this epic 500-mile strike mission as part of Day 5 of their Tebro Campaign. This purely co-op campaign starts with some tense in-flight refueling and ends with some spectacular bangs – not everything goes to plan but that’s usually what makes The Grim Reaper’s videos so entertaining. Loved it!

I stumbled onto this last Falcon 4.0/BMS video by accident but I’m glad I did because Unleashed Code’s FALCON BMS: WAR IN THE AIR video shows 10-minutes of some absolutely tense gameplay when a damaged F-16 goes up against a mix of MiG-29s and Su-27s in a tight BVR turned WVR duel.

For the final video in this series, I draw your attention to a brilliant IL-2 cinematic by VIVIK where he and his squadron fly Ju87s in a ship attack on the Kuban map. The Ju87 doesn’t get a lot of attention these days but this video showcases some really good teamwork and does it in a very cinematic way.
