RAZBAM’s AV-8B CCIP changes explained

Things have been a little quiet on the RAZBAM front recently but updates to their currently released modules have been trickling out and a video that came out today explains some of the changes to how the AV-8B’s CCIP works and explains the new features.

Enhanced attack abilities

There are changes and some updated functionality for RAZBAM’s AV-8B for DCS World and the first is that the Harrier will no longer display the CCIP cross when its gone below the HUD and when the computed point is below the HUD field of view it will become a dashed line.

A new CCIP to AUTO mode now works too letting you position the targeted impact point below the HUD’s field of view and use AUTO to perform a level bomb approach to target instead.

Some cool new features that are now in place on the AV-8B for DCS World.

    I’ve been on the fence on purchasing this module, as I like to employee the A-10C for my A2G solutions. Although I can see the advantages of using a platform with more flexible maneuverability/evasive capabilities.

    But what has me on the fence about investing into learning this module is the quality, as I’ve heard some mixed opinions about the fidelity of this module. Which is where I’d like to ask your personal opinion, I know this module is your personal favorite. With all the recent changes, how highly would you recommend this product in it’s current state?

      It’s my second favourite to be accurate. My standards for it are surrounding my ability to fly it, use it effectively as a platform on a server, and that it looks and sounds pretty good doing it.

      It does all of that. The VTOL is unique. The cockpit has been improved dramatically. It’s very easy to use coming from the Hornet (with a few exceptions) and I can employ it in a lot of situations.

      The biggest issues for me are the Nav INS system (which I set to simple to avoid the bugs there) and the odd other problem with a system just not working properly the same way twice.

      Those are some obscure things so it doesn’t come up that often.

      Also I find the AGN-65 usage on the Harrier to be needlessly complex and I can’t figure it out. So I stick to LGB and rockets/bombs. Supposedly it’s going to get JDAM but we’re still waiting for that.

      Not perfect. But it is fun and very different from other jets and I like that.

      texas this module has changed significantly in the last half year .. it is honestly my favorite air to ground aircraft the only thing it is missing is the Gau 8 .. its fast manuverable and can carry alot if your going short range and has mid air refueling and VTOL capability it can carry the same number of maverics as the 18 and many LGBs with a good targeting pod and they are adding capability monthly.. vidualy i think it is amazing and the cocpit is beautiful. i highly sujest this module especialy as it is currently on sale

        I ended up buying this module after reading this and let me tell you – I have my work cut out. Haha, I’m loving it!
