There was a bit of a mix-up with the DCS World Weekend News this week so we didn’t get the full update but Eagle Dynamics was ready to go with some new screenshots from what they seem to be calling DCS: Supercarrier.

Latest deck images

The latest images from Eagle Dynamics show the fine detailing on the deck of their latest Nimitz-class Supercarrier to come to DCS World. It takes things a step above what we’ve seen from the USS John C. Stennis.

The flight crew of course are meant to be part of the feature set featuring realistic motions and procedures. There’s supposedly going to be even more detail poured into this module with below deck hangars modeled – if the original plan is still on that is. Either way this will be the most authentic and detailed simulation of modern carrier deck operations that I’m aware of.

It will, controversially, be a payware module although Eagle Dynamics has taken some steps to make it multiplayer compatible.

Anyways, on with the screenshots!

  1. Supposedly it will be discounted to Hornet owners… but how much we will see.

    The carrier looks awesome though.

I can confirm that, at least as of FS Expo in June when I talked to Matt Wagner, it was the intent to offer a decent discount for Hornet owners. That piqued my interest!

  2. Where are the Sukhois? That’s simply US prejudice…
