Matt Wagner from Eagle Dynamics has released two videos on his YouTube channel recently that cover some changes and updates to the F-16 INS (inertial navigation system) that may be tripping some virtual pilots up. If you’ve been having trouble, check one or both of these videos out!
INS NORM and Stored Heading alignments
There are two types of INS alignment that are covered in the latest video and they come on the heels of various updates to the DCS: F-16C as Eagle Dynamics adds more layers of detail to the fourth generation multirole jet fighter. The first is called the INS NORM Alignment and this 5 minute video covers the basics of how to do the update and where it fits into the start-up process.
And coming on the heels of the first video is a second video covering something called the stored INS Alignment video. Matt made one or two mistakes in that first video and so the second video covers that as well as the Stored INS update.
