Long awaited, DCS: Supercarrier is now available in DCS World Open beta which itself brings a number of fixes and updates across the board. Of course the highlight is the aforementioned carrier so lets have a quick look!
Supercarrier ready to set sail
Early access for DCS: Supercarrier is now underway and which means the highly anticipated launch is now out and in our hands. I spent a few minutes tonight trying it out and it’s everything that you’ve seen in the screenshots and videos from Eagle Dynamics and from people around the community who had an early look at it.
I’ll have a more in-depth first impressions piece done soon but in the meantime feel free to enjoy a few screenshots and the new DCS: Supercarrier launch trailer.
Open Beta updates
There’s a huge list of updates that came with the DCS 2.5.6.49314 Open Beta change log. I haven’t tried multiplayer yet but my impressions from single player are that Eagle Dynamics has fixed most or all of the performance glitches I was seeing in previous versions and my frame rates are higher and more stable than I’ve seen them in many weeks.
There are updates for quite a few modules including the DCS: F/A-18, DCS: F-14, DCS: AV-8B, DCS: JF-17, DCS: Av-101, and DCS: F-16C just to name some of the updates that went in here. For the full patch notes, check it out here!
