The creators of the free MB-339 mod for DCS World have been expanding their team and are set to become a full fledged developer for DCS World and Microsoft Flight Simulator. The project is supported by the members of the Frecce Tricolori Virtuali which means the MB-339 that they have been flying for some time is the first project out of the gate for the team but other projects are likely to follow. Let’s have a look and see what they are planning.
MB-339 and beyond
Today’s announcement makes IndiaFoxTecho the newest DCS World developer on the block although the members of the team are already familiar with at least some of DCS World’s inner workings as they have been modding the series for years.
Of course becoming an official dev means turning the MB-339 mod into a payware module which will likely take some time to accomplish but will likely be well worth the effort. It also doesn’t seem to have put any halt on their plans to bring both a low fidelity and high fidelity MB-339 to Microsoft Flight Simulator and they have already been showing off their jet in the sim.

The announcement also says that they are planning to build other air and indeed they already have a M-346 in the works for Flight Simulator as well as the unusual LONG-EZ. Development screenshots of the M-346 appear to show a relatively finished looking exterior model in Flight Simulator. It could be a worthy follow-up after the MB-339 is finished for DCS World provided enough details are available for the jet trainer and light attack aircraft.
