New Spitfire campaign coming to Cliffs of Dover!

IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover Blitz and Desert Wings – Tobruk have a wide selection of single player content and that content is about to grow a little more with a brand new campaign coming from Team Fusion Simulations focused on No 610 Squadron. And it’s all coming soon!

The Battle of Britain

The latest campaign for this part of the IL-2 series is focused on flying with No 610 squadron and features 8 missions just as the Luftwaffe offensive against Britain has been ramped up and intense fighting in the skies over Kent are taking place.

No 610 squadron is interesting as it was an auxiliary unit that was intended to be filled with volunteers that included company test pilots, ex-RAF pilots, and other experienced pilots. The unit was assigned to 13 Group and moved to Biggin Hill just as the intensity of the campaign heated up. It should be an exciting backdrop for a Battle of Britain based campaign.

Best of all, this is being offered as a free addition to the product.

Check out the recently released trailer showcasing the action in the campaign.

A release date has not yet been announced but it is expected to be announced “soon” which is likely not too far away. Keep an eye out for it and look for a follow up article here when we learn more.
